September meeting review

WBFS September meeting was swarming with members, both new and old.

Jim Sansom ran us enthusiastically through swarm management, with his years of experience backing him.

Sally Scopel followed with and introduction of birds and bees with plants and continued with the group splitting into local areas to discuss what Bee Friendly plants work best in those areas.

Sara Gormley O’Brien gave us an in depth tour of plants from the bees perspective and the importance of diversity in their feeding.

Just when you thought this was enough, Sally announce that all the plants provided for this months presentation, were gifts for all members to take home. Thanks to Michael Scopel and Plantmark.

I think all left buzzing

  1. Thankyou Matty for the summary. I’m sorry I missed the meeting yet again. An email reminder before the meeting would be fantastic, as I always struggle to fit everything into my weekends. And remembering which is the 3rd Sunday seems to be beyond me. Kerry whyte.

    1. Kerry, I’m sure this can be accommodated.
